1. To look for well-paid jobs                

People move from the countryside to the city to look for well-paid jobs because there are many big companies and different kinds of jobs in cities.          

Mọi người di chuyển từ nông thôn lên thành phố để tìm việc làm được trả lương cao vì có nhiều công ty lớn và nhiều loại công việc khác nhau ở thành phố.

2. To look for better services.           

People move from the countryside to the city to look for better services because there are many modern facilities in cities. People can also benefit from high-quality hospitals and schools.

Mọi người di chuyển từ nông thôn lên thành phố để tìm kiếm những dịch vụ tốt hơn vì ở thành phố có nhiều cơ sở vật chất hiện đại. Người dân cũng có thể được hưởng lợi từ các bệnh viện và trường học chất lượng cao.

3. To enjoy crowded and noisy areas                        

Some people choose to live in the city because they want to live in crowded and noisy areas. These places may help to keep them busy and enjoy the lively life in cities. Maybe they think it is boring to live in the countryside. 

Một số người chọn sống ở thành phố vì họ muốn sống ở những nơi đông đúc và ồn ào. Những nơi này có thể giúp họ bận rộn và tận hưởng cuộc sống sôi động ở thành phố. Có lẽ họ nghĩ sống ở nông thôn thật nhàm chán.

4. To have better educational opportunities

People move from the countryside to the city to look for better educational opportunities. There are more kinds of schools to suit the needs of students. Universities and colleges are also in cities instead of in rural areas.    

Mọi người di chuyển từ nông thôn lên thành phố để tìm kiếm cơ hội giáo dục tốt hơn. Có nhiều loại trường hơn để phù hợp với nhu cầu của học sinh. Các trường đại học và cao đẳng cũng ở thành phố thay vì ở nông thôn.                    

5. To experience different types of food and entertainment. 

One of the reasons why more people move to cities is that they want to try different types of food and entertainment. There are many kinds of food in cities from street food to food in restaurants. In cities, people can easily go to many places to entertain themselves such as cinemas, zoos, and amusement parks. 

Một trong những lý do khiến nhiều người chuyển đến thành phố hơn là vì họ muốn thử nhiều loại hình ẩm thực và giải trí khác nhau. Có rất nhiều loại đồ ăn ở thành phố từ đồ ăn đường phố đến đồ ăn trong nhà hàng. Ở các thành phố, mọi người có thể dễ dàng đến nhiều nơi để giải trí như rạp chiếu phim, vườn thú, công viên giải trí.

3. Listen to Phong talking about life in the countryside and complete each sentence with ONE word. 

Nội dung bài nghe: 

My grandparents live in the countryside. Every year, I spend my whole summer vacation with them. There are many things I like about life there like the open space, the friendly villagers and the traditional games children play. There is one thing which is very different from city life. That is the village open-air market where the villagers sell their home-made or home-grown products.

Not many people in the village have a fridge, so they go to the market every day to buy food and other necessary things. They all come from the same village, so almost everybody knows each other. The market is not just a place for buying and selling. It is also a place for the villagers to meet and talk. The market brings the people in the village closer.
