The line graph compared the rose in the population of three Australian cities (Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane) between 1992 and 2016.
Overall, the number of people living in these cities have been increased over the period given. Nevertheless, all the cities experienced unexpected changes in the number of inhabitants.
In 1992, Sydney’s population was a little higher than the other two cities, though, they all had roughly 20 thousand people. Nine years later, the number of people living in Sydney passed 60,000 for the first time while Melbourne and Brisbane had just around 40,000 residents. In 2004, Melbourne and Brisbane's population continued to rise as opposed to a huge drop, at around 20,000 residents in Sydney city.
Melbourne's population grew steadily since 1995, reaching almost 100 thousand people between 2007 and 2010, before a huge drop by approximately 20,000 people within the next 2 years. Similarly, Sydney and Brisbane also witnessed remarkable fluctuations, in which lowering the population to a bit under 60,000 and around 40,000 citizens respectively between 2010 and 2013.

Topic: Many people think that interviews are not the best way to assess the suitability of a candidate for a position. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is a common belief that interviews are the most well-rounded tool to assess candidates’ suitability for a position. In my viewpoint, this approach could help recruiters assess candidates’ soft skills and give candidates another chance to emphasise their strong points which may be missed during the curriculum vitae scanning procedure. However, other tools are needed to portray candidates’ abilities fully.
Firstly, an interview seems to be the best way to assess a candidate's soft skills, such as relationship establishment or thought expression. Those soft skills are necessary at some level in order to perform tasks successfully, particularly for salesperson or communication-related occasions. For this reason, regarding recruitment, many employers emphasise the crucial role of interviews.
From candidates’ perspective, interviews give them another chance to emphasise their skills or experiences suitable for the position but might be ignored during the curriculum vitae scanning procedure. For example, a graduate fresher engaging in volunteering activities may not be proficient in terms of working experiences but may impress interviewers with his enthusiasm. Hence, an interview is a great opportunity to help his strength be bold.
However, interviews do not yet help reveal other potential interviewees' crucial qualities, such as integrity or consistency. To find out those qualities, other methodologies, skill tests or ability tests for instance, should be implemented to give an all-facet portrait of the candidates.
To sum up, interviews are an effective approach to help employers find suitable candidates. It also gives job seekers a chance to express their strong points. Besides, other tools are also needed to portray candidates' abilities fully.
Topic: Students leave high school without learning the way how to manage their money. What are the reasons and solutions to this issue?
Nowadays, many young students leave school without any knowledge and necessary skill about personal monetary management. In my viewpoint, the reasons lie in misconception of who is in charge of the teaching role and lacking hands-on experience of the school curriculum.
Regarding the culprits behind the situation, there are several possibilities. Firstly, many people think that personal property management, including money, is more of a family education rather than school. So, if parents are not aware that it is not a crucial skill, they are unlikely to teach their children mastering that skill. Besides, the fact that not every parent knows how to manage their own money, and as a result, they are struggling to guide their children properly.
Furthermore, the current education system seems to place more emphasis on theory-based knowledge rather than hands-on experiences. Even at economic school, students are taught about theory-based subjects such as international trade or cash flow, but lacking hands-on skills such as personal monetary management due to the fact that neither topic-related research nor subjects are available.
To help young adults acquire necessary personal financial skills, some approaches could be taken as soon as possible. First of all, school curriculum should include financial management as an optional subject for example. Teachers could also help their students to master the skills by giving them topic-related projects, managing family’s power costs for instance. Actually, several Scandinavian schools started to introduce financial management subjects to their secondary students. The parents’ feedback is optimistic as their children’s spending seems to be more rational.
Raising students’ awareness about the importance of personal monetary management is another feasible approach. For example, schools could run topic-related campaigns towards teens and parents to give them foundation knowledge. Furthermore, authorities could provide free managing tools or courses so that young adults could actively learn and master the skill for their sake.
In a nutshell, monetary management for young adults is lacking because of the misconception of the teaching role and the lack of hands-on experiences from school curriculum. To change the situation, schools should provide more topic-related subjects and hands-on experience training. Besides, raising awareness about the importance of personal monetary management among students and parents and providing free managing tools are viable approaches.

In some countries, more and more adults are continuing to live with their parents even after they have completed education and found jobs. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?
It is true that adults nowadays are tend to keep living with their families despite having accomplished higher education or getting jobs. Although this phenomenon would bring both benefits and drawbacks to human life, I think the disadvantages are more significant than the advantages.
On the one hand, spending time living with parents might help the young to make most of time to save money that might be a good factor for their future careers. For example, in lieu of spending salaries to buy a house or to pay for a car by installments, they could save that money to prepare for their marriages. Moreover, living under the same roof could make the relationships among families members become close-knit, since they have more time to confide in each other and understand others deeply.
On the other hand, there are two main drawbacks of continuing to live with parents. Firstly, there might appear generations gap between parents and their children. Parents born in the last of twentieth century have their own perspective of views, which are usually different from their children due to the time periods, tend to force the young do as what they were used to like when they have to get married or when they have to give birth. As a result, that could lead to some agreements or unexpected serious consequences of conflicts. Secondly, adults living with parents tend to be passive, since there are no things that need to be concerned about. For instance, when the young decides to move out from their houses, they would have to consider about plenty of financial problems such as houses price or service costs that will help them to be more mature.
In conclusion, although there are several advantages of continuing living with parents, I would argue that the disadvantages are far greater.
To illustrate, Sennett discusses the Peachtree Center in Atlanta, USA, a development typical of the modernist approach to urban planning prevalent in the 1970s.
Cho em hỏi là từ chỗ "a development..." là sử dụng cấu trúc ngữ pháp như thế nào đấy ạ? typical là adj, thành ra "a development typical of" lại là "noun adj of", rồi chỗ prevavent cũng vậy, thành "noun pharse prevalent in the 1970s".
Em đã tra cứu toàn bộ các cách viết rút gọn mệnh đề quan hệ trên blog của Zim nhưng không thấy đề cập tới chuyện rút gọn " N which is adj" thành "N adj". Em mong được giải đáp.

Some people think the best way to solve pollution problems is to increase the cost of fuel. Do you agree or disagree?
Many people believe that the most effective way to handle pollution issues is to raise the cost of fuel. I disagree with this statement because there are several better ways to tackle this problem.
Admittedly, increasing the cost of fuel can result in a financial challenge for consumers. When the cost of fuel becomes higher, a few people cannot afford fuel to use for their individual transportation. This would lower the quantity of private vehicles on the road which in turn lead to reduced pollutant emissions. However, this solution can have a short-term effect because it does not affect everybody but those who are financially challenged.
Having said that, I prefer two alternative solutions which will have more profound impacts on society. Firstly, international and local authorities can improve public transportation in order to deter people from using their own vehicles. For example, thanks to government efforts in constructing infrastructure systems, in Vietnam, these days, there are wide ranges of public transportation such as highway trains and eco-friendly buses with affordable prices for citizens to make up their mind rather than traveling by private cars. Therefore, by commuting together in public transportation, residents can save not only the environment but also their budget spent on fuel. Secondly, the state can focus on developing electric environment-friendly vehicles. Without emitting emission into the air; these advanced vehicles will gradually enhance air quality as well as the environment. As a result, if governments constantly put their efforts into developing these types of vehicles, their citizens will have more choices to choose instead of using their own transportation to commute, so it will have a better influence on types of people.
In conclusion, I disagree with the solution which is to raise the cost of fuel. Instead, I believe that encouraging people to use public transportation and environment-friendly vehicles will make a great contribution to diminishing and solving pollution.
