I’d like to talk about a time when I persuaded a friend of mine. She’s a close friend of mine from university. To give you some context, every year, our department has an annual event for students. In this event, there would be musical performances from students and guest performers. 

Well, my friend is good at singing. So, I encouraged her to join the event’s singing audition. At first, she lacked confidence in her singing. She was so afraid of making mistakes in public. But I just kept telling her that her voice was beautiful. Every time she sang, I would compliment her voice. To help her better, I even enrolled her in a short singing course so she could learn some singing skills. After a few weeks, she became much more confident and finally registered for the audition.

I’d like to tell you about a time I persuaded my friend to audition for our department’s annual event. There were musical performances from students and guest artists in this event. She’s my close friend at university. She’s very important to me, and we always support each other. There were musical performances from students and guest performers in this event. 

I’ve always known my friend is talented in singing. Also, last year, I noticed that she enjoyed singing but she was too afraid to perform in public. She was afraid that she wasn’t good enough for that major event. So, I wanted to help her feel more confident and join the audition. I praised her every time she sang to boost her confidence. Also, when she needed encouragement, I was always there supporting her emotionally. I even signed her up for a short singing class. So, she could improve her singing skills. Later, she felt more confident and registered for the audition herself.

In the end, my friend passed two rounds of the audition. At the event, her performance was excellent. Everyone was clapping for her. Even better, she actually won a singing prize. I was so proud of her. I felt happy for helping my friend succeed with her ambition and talent.

My friend did very well and passed two rounds of the audition. On the event day, she performed brilliantly and the audience even cheered and sang along. You know what, she actually won a prize. After this, I learnt that kindness and support can magically help someone. Also, I realized the great power of self-confidence.

I’d like to describe a time I talked my friend into doing something meaningful. She was one of my close classmates in university. It was a year ago when our department was preparing for an annual event. Well, normally, there would be students and even famous artists performing at this event. Before D-day, our department usually holds auditions among students. 

At that time, I knew my friend was a great fit for the event because she’s absolutely talented in singing. So, I encouraged her to join the audition. At first, though my friend is passionate about singing, she was hesitant as she thought she wasn’t good enough. But I just kept motivating her. To help her gain confidence, every time she sang, I would give compliments on her beautiful voice. As time went by, she started to believe that she had the potential to perform at the event. Back then, I genuinely did everything for my friend to pass the audition. To the point that I signed her up for a crash course in singing. You know, just to perfect her singing skills.

There was a time I talked my friend into doing something out of her comfort zone. She was one of my close friends in university. We often shared our thoughts and feelings. And through this, I knew that my friend is passionate about singing. Also, I got to say that she herself is gifted with a beautiful voice. A year ago, our department was organizing an annual event and there would be students and famous artists performing. So, before that, there were auditions held for students. 

Right after I saw the post about the audition on our department’s page, I knew my friend was meant for it. So, I persuaded her to fill in the audition form. At first, she didn’t want to because she was insecure about her singing. But I didn’t want her to give up. That was why I stood by her side and encouraged her all the time. I remember every time she sang, I would compliment her. Just to let her know that she was full of potential. Back then, I literally went to great lengths to help her. I even got her name enrolled in a short course on singing. You know, it should be the icing on the cake if she learns some singing skills.

In the end, all our efforts paid off. My friend got straight to the event after two rounds of audition. Even better, she actually won a prize there. I was genuinely proud of her. At the moment I saw my friend being on stage and getting a round of applause, I knew it was everything she had ever dreamt of. She was finally able to overcome her fear and do what she wanted. I think that night, at the event, was truly a milestone in her life.

Finally, it wasn’t a surprise that my friend managed to pass two rounds of audition and be on stage at the event. But I was actually taken aback when my friend was awarded a singing prize. At that moment, I literally cried with happy tears. I knew my friend was living her dream, and I was genuinely proud of her. Through this experience, I realized the power of sincere encouragement. Also, I learnt that self-confidence can make a huge difference to someone’s life.
