Introduction:

To be honest, there aren’t many exciting things going on in my life at the moment, but if I have to talk about one, I would say the weekly coffee date with my best friend is what excites me the most.

What it is

This date has become a tradition for both me and my friend. We will meet at the weekends, as we have no work or school at this time, and choose a nice local coffee shop to have a nice drink and a little chat to keep up with our lives.

How it is exciting

The reason why I look forward to this date so much is because my friend and I rarely have a chance to talk on weekdays. Back in school, the two of us were like the white on rice, I mean we were inseparable. I could spend days and nights gossiping with my best friend, and meeting each other was never a problem for us. However, since graduation, both of us are always buried in work, so it gets harder to stay in contact regularly. 

Where and when it is

So now, weekends are the only time we can meet up at a coffee shop, and the thought of it never fails to excite me.

Why you feel excited about it

There are millions of things I and my bestie can do together. Most of the time, we choose a nice café to sit down and have a chat. On some other occasions, we go shopping, or have brunch in a fancy restaurant. In fact, what we do doesn’t really matter, as long as we can see each other.

Conclusion:

I feel relieved every time I confide in my best friend, because I know she will always cheer me up and give me some useful advice. All in all, this is one of the things that excites me the most, thank you for listening.

→ They have been inseparable friends since kindergarten. (Họ đã là những người bạn không thể rời xa nhau từ khi còn học mẫu giáo.)

• gossiping (tám chuyện): to talk about other people's private lives

→ Quit gossiping and focus on your work. (Hãy ngừng buôn chuyện và tập trung vào công việc của bạn.)

• graduation (tốt nghiệp): the fact of finishing a degree or other course of study at a university or school

→ The graduation ceremony was a moment of great pride. (Lễ tốt nghiệp là giây phút đầy tự hào.)

• regularly (thường xuyên): often

→ I exercise regularly to maintain a healthy lifestyle. (Tôi tập thể dục thường xuyên để duy trì lối sống lành mạnh.)

• bestie (bạn thân):a person's best friend

→ My sister is not just a sibling; she's my bestie. (Em gái tôi không chỉ là chị em; cô ấy là bạn thân của tôi.)

• occasion (dịp): a particular time, especially when something happens or has happened

→ We dress up for special occasions like birthdays. (Chúng tôi ăn mặc cho những dịp đặc biệt như sinh nhật.)

• fancy (sang trọng): to want to have or do something

→ Let's have dinner at a fancy restaurant tonight. (Tối nay chúng ta hãy ăn tối ở một nhà hàng sang trọng nhé.)

• relieved (không còn buồn, bớt đau khổ): happy that something unpleasant has not happened or has ended

→ After the exam, I felt relieved that it was over. (Sau kỳ thi, tôi cảm thấy nhẹ nhõm vì nó đã kết thúc.)

• cheer up (cổ vũ tinh thần): to become more cheerful; to make somebody/something more cheerful

→ I tried to cheer up my friend after her tough day. (Tôi cố gắng động viên bạn tôi sau một ngày khó khăn của cô ấy.)
