Context | The place that I would recommend to any visitor to my country would certainly be Ninh Binh, and Trang An in particular. The city of Ninh Binh is modern and has all of the niceties that any large city should have, but Trang An complex is so beautiful that it is quite difficult to put into words. |
Content | Having grown up in north western Vietnam, we were always surrounded by mountains, the large mountains formed by tectonic activity between continents. Trang An however is surrounded by massive karst mountains, which are outcroppings of rock hundreds of meters high that exist because they used to be underground, then everything else around them was eroded away by rivers. The rivers being another beautiful aspect of this place, they wind around, even in and out of these mountainous structures and unlike many other places in the country, the water is kept clean and pure. |

Is it important to take photos while traveling?
I think it is very important. However, I almost never do so. When I travel, I tend to be very “in the moment” with the adventure of it all and don’t want to step outside that moment to take photos. But I have come across other peoples photos of places that I had seen, then forgot, so I know the value of photographing your travels.

To an extent, I don’t see why not. Expectations should be mitigated whenever taking advice from the internet, but that applies to all aspects of life. It is important to be wary of anything that is too ‘done up’ or as if they are just showing off for social media, people doing that are generally willing to distort the truth in order to get a higher view count.
