The diagrams below show how floods happen in a village and give two solutions to deal with them. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparation where relevant.

• Có 2 phương án: Hoặc di dời các tòa nhà có trong vùng lụt hoặc xây dựng đập ở thượng nguồn sông.

Thân bài 1: Miêu tả thị trấn và tình hình lũ lụt

• 2 con sông chia thị trấn ra thành 3 phần

• Thị  trấn bao gồm 3 khu vực: công viên và khu dân cư ở phía bắc, các tòa nhà thương mại ở phía nam

• Di dời các khu vực này ra khỏi vùng lũ lụt

• Công viên và khu dân cư sẽ di chuyển lên phía bắc, các tòa nhà thương mại sẽ di dời về phía nam

• Phương án này thân thiện với môi trường nhưng tốn kém

Thân bài 3: Miêu tả phương án thứ 2: Xây dựng đập và hồ chứa nước ở thượng nguồn sông

• Đập và hồ chứa nước đóng vai trò như hàng rào ngăn chặn lũ

• Phương án này rẻ tiền, nhưng sẽ có nhiều tác động xấu đến môi trường

The maps illustrate how a village is affected by flooding and two methods to protect it.

Overall, nearly every part of the town will be flooded when floods happen. The plans are to either relocate the buildings inside the flood area or build dams upriver. 

There are two rivers in the village, merging in its middle, one running from north to this intersection, and one from west to east. These two rivers divide the town into three main areas: an industrial park and residential area to the north and some commercial buildings to the south. These areas are all in danger of flooding.

The first solution involves the relocation of the areas of the town. These are planned to be shifted out of the flooding area. The industrial park and residential area would be relocated to the north, while the commercial buildings would be moved in the opposite direction. This solution is environmentally-friendly yet costly.

The second solution proposes two dams and reservoirs to be built at the headwaters of both rivers, acting as a flood barrier to prevent flooding. Although it is affordable to build such infrastructure, there would be some adverse effects on the environment.
