These days, it is possible for anyone to make films thanks to the advancement of digital technology. Personally, I think this is a positive development and I will discuss the issue in the following essay.

At first, individuals can easily make films with modern electronic devices such as smartphones, computers and cameras. There are various apps available that allow people to  edit short films on their computers, and then upload the content to social media and other platforms for people to see. This leads to a greater diversity of films and videos that we can follow on Youtube or Tiktok. Besides, producing films is not only a hobby for some people, but also a passion and a career goal. With such available technology that we can find various video editing software on the internet, people who do not have much chance to study filmmaking at universities, or those with a natural talent for producing films are able to follow their dreams. As a result, more people around the world are strongly motivated to make films and expand their artistic abilities.

In addition, the development of digital technology helps the small or independent filmmakers to have opportunities for promotion in current film industry. As a matter of fact, many useful apps on the computers or smartphones play an important role in saving production cost. Consequently, new directors and film-makers who do not have a huge expense to produce their films or release them to general public are now able to due to the internet and digital technology. They will be successful and enhance their reputation if they wisely use technology to produce great films.

In conclusion, digital technology has a deep influence in changing how we make films, the issues about its quality should be concerned.
