It is important for all towns and cities to have large public spaces such as squares and parks. Do you agree or disagree

  In this day and age, the construction of communal venues has been of great concern to governments as well as residents. It has been claimed to be imperative for every town and city to possess these facilities, namely parks and squares. As far as I am concerned, I partly concur with this statement.

On the one hand, no one can deny that the construction of sizeable public places can fetch several merits. To begin with,  shared spaces could greatly benefit residents of the surrounding area. This is because large squares can serve as venues for bonding activities, through which an increased sense of community can be achieved. Moreover, parks with various greenery are also green lungs which enormously assist in air purification, especially in metropolises where large volumes of traffic together with numerous factories have given rise to aggravating air contamination. Additionally, these enormous spaces can engender economic values. Specifically, squares can be rented for event organization venue, moreover, the annual profits gained from parking space should also be taken into account.

 Nevertheless, that every cities should have public places can be disadvantageous to a certain extent. The first downside can be ascribed to possible budget deficit. This can be explained by the fact that the construction of these venues can requires a significant amount of initial financial outlay. Consequently, underdeveloped states or cities would encounter budget surplus were they to invest too much on these projects. Another explanation is that there exist more public infrastructure that should be given priority. In other words, the funding and space used for squares and parks had better be allocated on buildings such as educational institutions and healthcare centers, which are more essential to residents' lives.

 In conclusion, it is my perspective that although the construction of public places in all cities and towns can be meritable in terms of  the nearby area and potential profits, some problems may still arise regarding financial burden and more important buildings that needs considering.
