In 1990, the number of kilometers travelled by bus was around 40 billions. Ten years later, this figure rose slightly to 45 billions. Besides, the passenger kilometers rode by rail in 1990 was approximately 38.5 billions. The years 2000 witnessed a growth to nearly 45 billions, which is similar to the figure of bus in the same year.

The passenger kilometers travelled by air was not over 5 billions in 1990. By 2000, this number climbed moderately to around 10 billions.
