Nowadays, many animal species are becoming extinct. Some people believe that countries and individuals must solve this problem. Others believe that human beings are more important. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

People’s opinions differ as to whether we should conserve wildlife animals that are becoming extinct or focus on human beings. Wild animals should be carefully conserved and human beings are not more significant than animals.

On the one hand, some individuals may argue that the existence of people is more prominent because they are the animals who hold the leading position in the food chain, meaning that they can and potentially manipulate the planet. Moreover, human beings have the awareness, flexibility, and dexterity, which surpass any other animal, allowing them to complete difficult tasks such as learning, working, exercising, and even unprecedented breakthroughs like exploring outer space. Therefore, they have the capability to find themselves more crucial than other animal species. 

On the other hand, I believe people must find solutions to tackle the problem of the extinction of some animal species for several reasons. Animals play a crucial role in the food chain and although human beings are leading the list, they still significantly depend on animal species. This is because, everything in nature is connected, and if one species become extinct, many other animals and even plants will suffer as the food chain is disrupted. For example, if the extinction occurs among fish, people and even other animal species who see fish as their main food resources will undergo a lack of food. Secondly, animals have aesthetic and cultural values. For instance, they contribute to our rich biodiversity and make the planet a more beautiful place. 

In conclusion, I believe although human beings take the lead on the food chain, they should not ignore the importance of animals, thus having the responsibility to conserve wildlife animals.
