Thầy cô chấm hộ em bài này với ạ: The graph below gives information about the percentage of the population in four Asian countries living in cities from 1970 to 2020, with predictions for 2030 and 2040.

The graph illustrates the proportion of city dwellers in four given countries, namely Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia between 1970 and 2020, with predictions for 2020 and 2040.

Overall, it can be seen that the percentage of population ịn all mentioned countries shared the same upward trend over the period. Besides, the figure for Malaysia tended to be higher than other countries.

In 1970, 30% of Malaysians lived in cities, which gradually increased to around 45% in 1990. After that, the figure for this country skyrocketed and it is expected to reach a peak of over 80% in 2040. After an increase in the first 20 years, the proportion of people living in cities in the Philippines saw a decline to just over 40 % before going up again for the remainder of the period.

Regarding Thailand and Indonesia,  the urban population rate for Thailand had risen by 10% in 1990  before hovering around 30% 30 years later. Meanwhile, there will be a twofold increase to about 60% in the percentage of  Indonesian living in metropolitan areas from 2000 to 2004.
