Đoạn tổng quát (Overview)

• Nước được sử dụng nhiều nhất cho vegetables và fruits

The first pie chart illustrates the proportion of water consumed for six different products in 2004. The second chart indicates the percentage of total income generated from these products in the same year. 

Overall, it can be seen that the largest proportion of water was used for vegetables and fruits. Besides, these two products were also the major sources of total income in 2004.

Vegetables accounted for the greatest percentage of water consumed, at 46%. This was followed by fruits, making up a much lower proportion (28%). The figure for lime was two-thirds of that for cereal, at 8% and 12%, respectively. Meanwhile, rice and dandelion shared the same percentage, at 3% each. 

40% of total income was from fruits, higher than that earned from vegetables by 9%, while cereal constituted 12% of the total income. The figure for lime was equal to that for dandelion, at 8% each. Noticeably, only 1% of the total income was generated from rice.

Some people think that governments should ban dangerous sports, while others think people should have freedom to do any sports or activity. Discuss both views and give your own opinion

• Thesis Statement (Trả lời trực tiếp câu hỏi ở đề bài): Nghiêng về ý kiến: Tất cả mọi người nên có quyền chơi bất kỳ môn thể thao nào họ thích.

Thân bài 1: Bàn luận và nêu quan điểm cá nhân về ý kiến thứ nhất: Chính phủ nên cấm các môn thể thao mạo hiểm.

• Lý do của những người ủng hộ ý kiến này: Nguy cơ chấn thương

• Các môn thể thao liên quan tới độ cao, tốc độ ⇒ gây nguy hiểm tính mạng cho người chơi

• Ví dụ: Người chơi nhảy dù có thể gặp chấn thương gãy chân tay trong trường hợp dù bị hư, không mở được

• Quan điểm cá nhân: Không đồng tình

• Trên thực tế, người chơi các môn mạo hiểm phải trải qua quá trình huấn luyện kỹ càng ⇒ giảm thiểu nguy cơ chấn thương.

While some people believe that governments should impose a ban on extreme sports, others argue that people should have the right to play any sports they want. Personally, I am in favour of the latter opinion.

Advocates of banning dangerous sports believe that people face a risk of severe injuries due to the nature of the activity. Extreme sports accompanied by heights, distances and speeds are so hazardous that the participants could put their lives in danger. For example, skydivers might suffer from extreme physical injuries like broken limbs or concussion when their parachute fails to function properly. However, in reality, people must undergo rigorous training until they are fully prepared both mentally and physically before taking up any extreme sports, thus minimizing the risk of injuries. For instance, only after skydivers complete a test and get a license can they perform solo skydiving without observations. That is to say, injuries are extremely rare in dangerous sports; therefore, the risk of injuries should not be considered a legitimate reason to ban such activities.

I believe that people should be given the freedom to do any sport. First, people choose to play a sport for several reasons, one of which is to physically and psychologically challenge themselves to perform feats. For some people, participating in dangerous sports is a good way to achieve a high level of self-confidence when they can overcome difficult physical challenges. Therefore, it would be unreasonable to forbid a kind of activity that can have such a positive impact on someone’s life. In addition, I believe that everyone should have the right to do any activities they wish. Since freedom of choice is one of the basic rights that each individual deserves, a person should be able to choose to play any sport, as long as such activity does not violate any law. 

In conclusion, I think that it is unjustifiable to ban dangerous sports, and people should be given every right to do any sports or activities at their discretion.
