Đoạn tổng quát: đưa ra đặc điểm nổi bật của công trình thông qua hai hình.

• Câu thứ nhất: Có nhiều sự thay đổi xảy ra xuyên cả mặt bằng công trình, có những chức năng cũ bị di dời đi hoặc là cải tiến

• Câu thứ hai: Có một khu chức năng gần như không đổi là khu trung tâm của công trình. 

Đoạn thân bài 1: Mô tả những đặc điểm cũ của phòng cộng đồng 5 năm trước

• Tả khu vực ở giữa, có 4 bàn tròn được sếp một cách so le với nhau

• Tả các thiết bị, vật dụng nội thất ở khu vực phía trên

• Tả về kệ sách ở góc phải dưới.

Đoạn thân bài 2: Mô tả sự những đặc điểm mới, những sự thay đổi.

• Tả 2 bàn tròn ở giữa đã bị biến mất, và thay vào đó là một bàn dài ngày gần lối vào

• Tả kệ laptop mới ở khu vực phía dưới, ngay gần khu vực xem TV mới.

• Tả về sự sắp đặt máy bán hàng mới

• Tả về dải vật dùng nội thất ở khu vực phía trên: gần như không thay đổi, ngoại trừ một ghế dài được thay thế bởi lò vi sóng.

The two plans illustrate a number of changes which have taken place in a student common room between five years ago and now. Overall, the common room has been refurnished to incorporate more facilities, especially in the communal open area. 

According to the plan from 5 years ago, there were a total of 4 round tables in the communal area, laid out in an alternate arrangement with each of which being surrounded by small chairs. From the entrance on the West, one could also spot, in successive order, a cupboard, a sink, 2 benches, a microwave and a refrigerator along the section to the North. Finally, a bookshelf was situated on the bottom right corner.

In the present day, the two round tables in the middle have been removed to free up the space. To compensate for this, a long rectangular table with multiple chairs has been placed near the entrance. To the South of the room, there is a new bench for students’ laptops, adjacent to a new television set with surrounding armchairs, which has taken the place of the old bookshelf. A new drinks vending machine has also been added beside the fridge. Finally, except for the one bench that was replaced by an additional microwave, the row of furniture to the North remained almost the same.

Body 1: Lợi ích của việc tuân theo truyền thống 

1st Idea: Truyền thống giúp duy trì bản sắc của một xã hội. 

• Support 1: Truyền thống là thứ đúc kết những phong tục tập quán, những nguyên tắc của các thể hệ trước, nên phản ánh những giá trị của xã hội đó. 

• Support 2: Việc người trẻ theo truyền thống giúp sự duy trì và tiếp diễn của những giá trị này, tạo ra sự thống nhất về mặt xã hội. 

2nd Idea: Tuân theo truyền thống giúp người trẻ học được từ những kiến thức, sự khôn ngoan của các thế hệ trước.

• Support: Người trẻ sẽ tránh được những sai lầm không cần thiết trong cuộc sống, giúp hạn chế lãng phí thời gian và sức lực.

Body 2: Lợi ích của việc sống tự do như một cá thể riêng.

1st Idea: Vài thông tục truyền thống có thể mang tính cổ hủ hoặc sai so với thời điểm hiện tại, nên người trẻ không cần phải tuân theo.

• Support: Đưa ra ví dụ về thông tục “trong nam khinh nữ” trong quá khứ đã được loại bỏ.

2nd Idea: Trong thời kỳ hội nhập thế giới, người trẻ thường muốn cá nhân hoá.

• Support: Việc đọc về những nền văn hoá và thực hành những phong tục, triết lý cấp tiến của nước ngoài có thể khiến đời sống trở nên phong phú, dễ hơn.

Conclusion: Khẳng định lại quan điểm cá nhân đã đề cập trong bài.

Opinions diverge on whether the youth core of society should conform to traditional customs. Personally, while I acknowledge that young people should rightfully have a certain degree of individualism, I still firmly believe that societal traditions should be maintained. 

There are fundamental reasons why societal traditions should be upheld by the youth. To begin with, traditions serve the role of maintaining a society’s identity. By definition, traditions comprises all the conventional practices and principles which have been put together by past generations; thus, they reflect the society’s long-standing sets of values and standards. Therefore, the onus is on young people to follow these traditions, not only to maintain a sense of continuity from the past, but also to create social unity and cohesion. Furthermore, by following traditions, the youth can greatly benefit from the wisdom and insight of past generations. As such, they can save themselves unnecessary trial and error in life that would cost them time and energy.

Nevertheless, it still has to be acknowledged that young people have certain rights to behave as free individuals. The main reason is that some traditions can be rather obsolete or even oppressive in regards to the present context, so there is little point in following them. For example, Vietnam’s past culture of misogyny and gender imbalance has now been virtually eradicated owing to women’s growing awareness and demands for individual freedom and respect. Furthermore, in today’s age of globalization, it is inevitable that young people want to individualize. Admittedly, adopting novel practices and radical ideologies from foreign countries lends itself towards a unique, less repressed life. However, caution still needs to be taken as not to emulate inappropriate customs and habits, such as cohabitation or promiscuity. 

In conclusion, young people should keep their individualism, but only insofar as it is in line with their traditions.
