Các bước tiến hành:

• Bước 1: Chọn thật nhanh 1 địa điểm mà người học thích – có thể là một nơi ở quê hương hoặc nơi đang sinh sống. (Lưu ý: không mất quá nhiều thời gian vào việc lựa chọn).

• Có một điều mà người học cần lưu ý khi chọn đối tượng địa điểm là cần phải chọn một vùng, một thành phố vì đề bài hỏi là “a part of your country”. Không trả lời một địa danh nhỏ lẻ trong một thành phố.

• Bước 2: Lên dàn ý cơ bản cho câu trả lời (viết tắt và viết ngắn gọn). Suy nghĩ về hướng phát triển của từng ý và từ vựng hay cần đưa vào.

• Bước 3: Nói ở tốc độ vừa phải để có thể kiểm soát được lời mình nói. Chú ý tới cách chia động từ, danh từ, ngữ pháp, và cả cách phát âm các từ.

I'm going to talk about Hanoi, which is located in northern Vietnam. It is and is the capital of Vietnam, also considered one of the symbols of our country, a witness to history. 

(How you got to know about it)

I live in the countryside, so I had never been to Hanoi until I started studying at my university. I think I first heard about it when I was in grade 6 or 7. There was a passage about how the traditional Hanoians behave in our literature book. And it left me with a very strong impression of their elegance and delicacy.

(What it is famous for)

I think Hanoi is mostly famous for its historical significance. It was the capital of many dynasties in the past, so there remain many places of historical interest today. Plus, Hanoi also experienced French colonization, which left us with much French architecture in buildings and bridges. That’s why Hanoi has so many corners that are a perfect background for those who like the taste of vintage. Actually today, many fashionistas go there to take photos to capture the antique beauty of Hanoi. 

Hanoi is also well-known for its people — we call them the old Hanoians. As the citadel of many dynasties, people of the old Hanoi are very well-educated, elegant and delicate in the way they speak, eat and live.

(Why you think it is interesting)

I find Hanoi interesting because it always reminds me of the old values of Vietnamese people. Even though that was somehow lost, you can still see here and there some people still preserve the old values in the way they live their life. I think that’s the culture we should preserve.

Also, just a walk around Hanoi could make me like time slows down a little bit and forget the hustle and bustle of life. Crossing streets with lines of green trees really gives me peace of mind.

Another interesting thing about Hanoi is that it has many historical buildings. I think it had withstood so much damage during the wars and is still now standing the test of time. To me, that’s really inspiring, with its strength and durability.

In addition, some people may find the rural lifestyle isolating or boring, because it doesn’t have much entertainment or social opportunities.
