Task 1: The diagram below shows the life cycle of the honey bee.
The diagram demonstrates the honey bee's life cycle.
Overall, the cycle lasts for more than a months with six main stages of development including laying eggs, hatching and growing.
In terms of how the honey bee was born, the mother's bee lay a single or a pair of eggs for every three days. After 9 to 10 days, the eggs hatched and offsprings are not prepared to leave the eggs until five days later. On the following week, small babies have not yet fully growth in size, however, they have emerged wings and other body parts.
During the next 9 days, the baby's bees have been given their name as Nymph moults and the creature is triple the size compared to that of the previous stage. Since then, an obvious characteristic of the young adult appears, in particular, stripes are horizontally covered throughout their bodies. At the last stage of the life cycle, the bees are left with only 4 days in adulthood prior to the beginning of new ones.
Task 2: Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal. Some people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Many governments believe that boosting economic growth is the most significant objective. However, some people argue that there are other aims that are equally crucial. In my opinion, economic progress should be prioritized, still, other factors might be taken into consideration as well.
First, economic progress allows the nation to meet higher living standard. In other words, citizens of the wealthier countries are beneficial toward its strong economic background. For instance, the currency, Dollar, is much more powerful and widely use compared to VND. This indication also represents the living standard of which the American welfares are better than that of Vietnamese.
Second, economic growth encourages more investments flow into a country supporting further developments on education and training. If the foreign investors can observe the economic growth of a particular country, they are more likely to fund the projects as well as support training and education in that nation. Thereby, a number of native children and laborers would potentially gaining advantages afterward.
Nevertheless, the illnesses as a result of lack of work-life balance has raised many oppositions among the people. stresses coming from extreme working time length would cause many substaintial effects on human. For instance, mental health of workers in Japan, one of the well-known developed country, are reported by news as has been worsen over time and raises concerns on ethics.
In addition, the further development in economic usually results in a greater gap between rich and poor. Inequality problems in world's economy leaders such as the U.S or China are more significant than any other nations like Vietnam or Thailand. To an extent, this can create conflicts and lack of union among the people who share the same bloodline due to the differences in perceptions, goals and living purposes.
In conclusion, while economic progress is an important, long-term goal that should be achieved by any nation, I believe that it is also important to consider other aspects regrading life quality of the people.
