It is true that reading story books is one of the encouraged activities which were widespread many years ago. In spite of many advantages that may derive from this suggestion , watching TV or playing computer games also contributes to children's well-being . In order to prove this , this essay will support this argument by analyzing the merits mentioned below . 

Firstly, the stories of a book will broaden our horizon . The Red Hood story is an example which teaches us about the price of disobeying adults as well as a significant story for the young childrens before having sweet dreams at night . As a result , the children will be more obedient and gain creativity by the way they imagine the plot of the Red Hood story . Moreover , the young children also learn how to distinguish between right and wrong to become mature and stay away from social evils . Secondly, it is certain that reading story books is a good habitat for children . Researchers proved that children can be calm and temper their anger by reading . Consequently , they can solve their own issues better than the others who do not read . 

Furthermore , playing computer games can develop children’s cognitive skills. Many popular games require recondite and high level thinking skills  to complete missions, skills that may not be taught at school. For instance, children need to follow instructions, solve complex problems and use logical ability in many of the games . Such experience will be beneficial to a child’s progression into an adult.

 In conclusion , I agree that cultivating knowledge was gained by reading story books . Besides , watching tv or playing computer games also contribute to children's maturity. By selecting the right type of books , games or TV programmes children could grow up in a positive way .
