Bài mẫu
These days, holding lavish and luxurious parties on special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, and engagements is becoming more commonplace. While some people consider this to be an unnecessary and exorbitant luxury of the wealthy, others believe it is important to splurge on such occasions. Personally, I think that although fancy celebrations do create lasting memories, spending ridiculous amounts of money on such events is unnecessary.
On the one hand, it is justifiable to spend lavishly on certain celebrations in some cases. For example, special events such as weddings are generally once-in-a-lifetime events that people want to remember for the rest of their lives, and therefore people like to spend a large amount of money to make the occasion special and unforgettable. Furthermore, certain celebrations are usually thrown in the form of a social gathering, where friends, relatives and even business partners can get together to socialise and build relationships. Spending generously on these occasions can show a certain level of respect to the guests from the party host.
On the other hand, expensive celebrations can be seen as a mere waste of money that could be better spent elsewhere. In some cases, luxurious gatherings are merely a way to maintain a social status among acquaintances. To meet such high expectations from societal pressure, people can be put under great financial strain and even go into debt. Additionally, the trend among young people these days to throw lavish parties has led to several socially unacceptable issues. The consumption of great amounts of costly drugs and alcohol leads people to become intoxicated and behave in an inappropriate manner, fighting and damaging public property.
To conclude, it is understandable that some people like to throw lavish parties, while others oppose this way of celebrating. However, I believe that ceremonies should be held in moderation so as not to affect individuals and society.
