Tóm tắt lý thuyết

1. Some: một vài, một chút

   • Dùng trong câu khẳng định và lời mời, đề nghị.

   • Thường đi kèm với danh từ đếm được hoặc không đếm được khi diễn tả lượng nhất định.

   • Ví dụ:

     • I have some apples. (Tôi có vài quả táo.)

     • Would you like some coffee? (Bạn có muốn uống một chút cà phê không?)

2. Any: một chút… nào, bất kỳ

   • Dùng trong câu phủ định và câu hỏi.

   • Khi đi với câu khẳng định, "any" mang ý nghĩa "bất kỳ".

   • Ví dụ:

     • Do you have any sugar? (Bạn có một chút đường nào không?)

     • You can’t take any book out of the library. (Bạn không thể đem đi bất kỳ quyển sách nào ra khỏi thư viện.)

3. Much: nhiều, bao nhiêu

   • Dùng với danh từ không đếm được, có thể dùng trong câu khẳng định, phủ định và nghi vấn.

   • Trong câu khẳng định, "much" ít khi được sử dụng mà thường thay thế bằng "a lot of".

   • Ví dụ:

     • I don’t have much time. (Tôi không có nhiều thời gian.)

     • How much water do you drink? (Bạn uống bao nhiêu nước?)

4. Many: nhiều

   • Dùng với danh từ đếm được, có thể dùng trong câu khẳng định, phủ định và nghi vấn.

   • Trong câu khẳng định, "many" được sử dụng khi diễn tả một số lượng lớn một cách trang trọng.

   • Ví dụ:

     • Are there many students in the class? (Trong lớp có nhiều học sinh không?)

     • Many people enjoy traveling. (Có nhiều người thích du lịch.)

5. A lot of: nhiều

   • Dùng cho cả danh từ đếm được và không đếm được, thường trong câu khẳng định.

   • "A lot of" linh hoạt hơn so với "much" và "many" trong câu khẳng định.

   • Ví dụ:

     • There are a lot of books on the shelf. (Trên kệ có nhiều sách.)

     • She has a lot of money. (Cô ấy có nhiều tiền.)

6. A few: một vài

   • Dùng với danh từ đếm được, mang ý nghĩa tích cực, chỉ một lượng nhỏ nhưng đủ dùng.

   • Ví dụ:

     • I have a few friends. (Tôi có một vài người bạn.)

     • We still have a few minutes left. (Chúng ta có một vài phút còn lại.)

7. A little: một ít

   • Dùng với danh từ không đếm được, mang ý nghĩa tích cực, chỉ một lượng nhỏ nhưng đủ dùng.

   • Ví dụ:

     • I have a little money left. (Tôi có một ít tiền còn lại.)

     • Add a little sugar to the coffee. (Thêm một ít đường vào cà phê.)
